Permalink Reply by Jessica on June 29, 2011 at 7:53am Haha - was that a sarcastic remark? I'm playing tennis this Thursday for the first time in over a year, so I'm looking to get back "into it" as I'm out of shape at the moment. Also, I have moved to Bryn Mawr although I still work in King of Prussia, so maybe we could play sometime in the next few weeks.
You say you're looking to get into the sport - (how much) have you played before?

I have hit the ball around with people but I wouldnt say I have played a game. I'd like to eventually play once every week or 2. I live in Conshy and work in Wayne so KOP would be a good. Weekends are hit or miss for me due to the beach but weekdays are usually fine. Where do you play in KOP?
Permalink Reply by Jessica on June 29, 2011 at 11:06am That's cool. I'd like to get back into it with drill-type games, so that would probably also be a good fit for you getting started. For example, we hit back and forth from the baseline, and any balls that bounce between the net and the service line get 1 pt, and any that hit between the service line and the baseline get 2 pts., and you play to 21. This allows you to focus on hitting a specific distance without having to switch up to other forms as you would during a match.
My courts of choice in KoP are the ones at Bob White Park, but there are only 3 so they fill up fast.
For reference, here is a map of courts I created (the Bob White courts are listed on it): http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=214146112900902622196.00043c4b6...
My weekends are the same as you, but my Mondays and Wednesdays are already accounted for, so Tuesdays and Thursdays would probably be best for me.
