I am 22 yr old tennis player from San Francisco, and have 12 years of tennis experience. I have played USTA tournaments before usually 5.0 level and up. I have good results against some tough guys. I have been to Mexico before and played international tennis with my USTA team. We placed 3rd out of 20 teams invited throughout the world. I was 7-1 all on beautiful clay courts. I started teaching tennis officially in 2011, and I have fallen in love with it so much! I find it to be more fun teaching than playing competitive tennis. I love to see smilies and improvement in my students, and that's what usually happeneds after a lesson with me.
•EXPERIENCE:
2 years (2011-2013) of teaching private tennis lesson on one one. Over 25 different students (adults and kids) between the levels of 2.0-4.5. I have also taught people that have never played tennis before. Your first time playing tennis will be like the first time you tired to ride a bike. My first student I started with was a 2.0 player, and now he is hitting with 3.5-4.0 players. Great improvement! I love too see it! He was a adult. My first junior student is now ranked in the top 8 of NorCal and is playing a sectional tournament next weekend! We have worked very hard and now it is showing with amazing results! I have also learned from great teaching pros. During the summer I work with a pro and help him do clincs. I learn a lot from him, for I am improving myself everyday. I may not have the 30/40 years of tennis experience but what I do have is hunger to be the best tennis coach in the world. I will work extremely hard to make it happened!
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A LESSON:
I like to start off to see if my students are hitting with the right fundamentals. I do a 10-15 minute evaluation of your overall game by giving you different types of balls. After the evaluation I like to set up a plan for you, so you can get the best results out of the lessons. It usually takes me 3-4 lessons to have you hitting consistent forehands, backhands, volleys, overheads, slices, serves etc. For some students it takes 5-6 lessons, so depends on where your level is at. Once I see that you are fundamentally sounded we start on match play for about 3-5 lessons. Here we will work on great tennis plays that will win you easy points during a match. We will work hard on different situations during a match. In 9-10 lessons I guarantee you will improve your level/rating. I am confident in my abilities and yours also. Everyone can hit tennis balls during free play, but what makes a good tennis player is match play! And we will work hard on both! A lot of my students come back for more than one lesson with me. They tell me i keep it nice and simple to understand. Most important they say they are having FUN, and thats the key!! I charge $45 per hour and $75 for a hour and 45mins as a discount!
•LEARN MENTAL TOUGHNESS SKILLS FOR MATCHES:
Ever wonder why you hit great during warm up, yet play like you have T-Rex arms during the match? IT'S ALL MENTAL!!! I really get mentally into the game, and my method really works. For me the game is 90% mental, for a smarter player will always beat a hard hitter. I will teach you great methods to remain nice and cool on the court. A lot of coaches these days are missing this important tip in their lessons. Learning mental toughness will instantly improve your tennis game! Mental toughness is what separates the world #1 from #20. Mental toughness will automatically make you a better player on and off the tennis court. I will emphasize this sooo much during my lessons!
MOBILE TENNIS LESSONS:
I live in San Francisco (mission district), but willing to travel to you. Either East Bay North Bay or South Bay. Spots are filling up quickly, so therefore just let me know when you want to arrange a lesson. Give me a day in advance to book you in, for sometimes I am already booked. Weekends right now are wide open for me. I like to travel because I want you to feel as comfortable as possible while learning. It will make the process quicker and also more convienent for you. I have been to every tennis court in SF and many around the Bay Area, so I know my way around.
