Yo Tim the serve looks the same.
Tim Prapongit's different

Tim Prapongi don't bring it back as far
MeHey I'm on my phone
Tim Prapongah ok
MeStillfaling to the left too much
Tim Prapongi land on my left square though
MeTry falling into the same direction the ball is going in.
Kelvinatorleft square?
Tim Prapongthat's hard
MeOn the leftfoot
Tim Prapongi'd have to toss completely to the right and not anywhere forward of the baseline
MeSupports serve & volley options
Tim Prapongwell lemme think about it. i'll try it today
Kelvinatorwhat are you trying to work on?
MeKick the right leg backwards & not to the right.
Tim Prapongtossing to the right
MeDon't toss so much into the court. Toss closer to ur body.
Tim Prapongokay, i'll try that. it's gonna feel weird
i've always tossed into the court
MeThat's weird feeling is a learning curve.
Tim Prapongso it's a cartwheel thing then, right
MeThat what ur doing now yes cartwheel.
Tim Prapongshoulder over shoulder like llodra?
MeThink more ballet right arm forward right leg back. On finish. Reference service video of mine.
Tim Prapongi was taught side arm pronation by vic braden. that's why cartwheel feels weird to me
MeChange grip or play with grip change favoriting forhamd grip.
Tim Prapongthanks for the tip. i will try it. i use backhand or continental on serve
ah, so you use forehand grip on serve, like aussie forehand like becker then cartwheel. i get it.
Tim Prapongi did that for about 6 weeks. got a lot of power that way
Tim Prapongi'd actually land on almost on my right foot instead
MeNo let me get on my CPU
Tim Prapongok
Tim Prapongi saw your serve. you toss directly to the right over the baseline, and then kick out your leg. how do you get topspin or kick from that position?
Tim Prapongbecker tosses into the court to but to the right, so he cartwheels and lands on his right
Kelvinatorwhat effect are you trying to get on your serve?
going from your side arm pronation to cartwheeling?
just more pop?
Tim Prapongi want to have topspin slice or flat. sounds like coach v's serve is a way to hit flat or slice
Meno i Favor the Forehand side of the continental grip
Tim Prapongyeah, that's aussie grip then
becker's grip
Kelvinatorso a "weak" continental
haha
Tim Prapongno that thing serves bullets
MeIts Still continental
Kelvinatorhence weak continental
Tim Prapongit's having the thumb joint over the most right edge of continental lol
i understand what you're saying now coach
Mejust favoring the forhand side...but I can still kick the ball....but I find it easier to get kick serves too.. with the a closed stance swing I get bigger spin
not the Thum
but the pinkey side is moved over to the forehand side like a 2 mm
very small movement
Tim Prapongi played a Russian guy last weekend who used that kinda kick serve. was very loopy
Meits feels more like a forehand gip then the pronation is not done over the ball but behind the ball like pushing which happens at contact
but looks the same up until contact
thats the most recent chages i made to fix the pain i get
in my video I was not as injured as i am now....
so im going stright on or over in my video
Tim Prapongyeah you get more of a straight on push with that grip and less of an angled face into the ball
MeThink about that stright punch but with the palm of your hand and not the nuckles or thumb
so the hand spread open..
pointing back
then pronate with the thumb pointing to the left with fingers pointing up
thats the contact point then snap down
Kelvinatorwow you two need a video or pictures!
Tim Prapongyeah that's how becker did his kick serve, across the palm upwards
Melike a Leftey serve but rightie forehand time?
tim
Tim Prapongsorry internet connection
MeI will make a quick video right now.
Tim Prapongcool
i know that kick method though. it's a good one
Tim Prapongi'd like to see u do it. it'd be a great vid to put up
Methe demo is almost up
Kelvinatorexcellent
Tim Praponghow do you kick yours, kelvin?
thumbs and knuckles, toss forward or palm up toss to the side?
Me
Tim Prapongcool
looking at it now
Medoes it make sence
sense
Tim Prapongabsolutely
Kelvinatoramazing what 15 secs of video can explain LOL
Tim Prapongand you can get more of a balanced leg drive on it
Kelvinatornot that it wasnt explained well b4 but...
Methe ballance is simple standing on the left leg
Tim Prapongyes, i can imagine it now. you don't have to lean or jump much
Mewith your right arm stright out towards the net and right leg stright back as a counter ballance
Tim Prapongthat's so mechanically efficient then. good. it saves me from jumping forwards all the time crooked. lol
Methat also puts your weight into the ball and not falling away from the ball like in your video tim
excellent
Tim Praponghow do you kick yours, kelvin?
thumbs and knuckles, toss forward or palm up toss to the side?

Tim Prapongi like to jump but not each and every time. lol
so you never really toss forwards more than 4 inches then
Tim Prapongwhat do you think of spoerl's kicker?
Meonly as much as you can jump up
Tim Prapongthat would break my back, how spoerl hits it. he's young. he can do it. not me.
Meso if you got a 12 inch jump only jump forward 6 inches
Tim Prapongah i see. that's a good proportion
1:2 ratio
MeWell the the pronation I show in the video doesnt hurt my elbow & im getting more power
& im gonna use it in my tournament
tomoro morning 8am
Tim Prapongyeah, that other way of doing it really snaps the elbow hard. kinda sampras, high elbow snap thing
MeYeah That hurts me now I cant do it
but hes 6 2 so he not going at it like shorter guys have to
Tim Prapongi used to do it, sway from right hip to left hip, then jump, snap my elbow high.
Meso i think sampras is quick serving it
but it looks bigger because hes bigger
Tim Praponghe gets to hit down more than me for sure
Mebut he can cause he can see over the net when he jumps
Tim Praponghe doesn't really do the whole rigamarole he used to
i def cannot see over the net at any time
Mewe are the same hight right tim 5 7
Tim Prapongyup
Kelvinatoryou tall people have all the luck
Tim Praponggotta hit up, up, up
Mewell my style will allow you to be more consistant and not fault on the net anymore
Tim Prapongyeah, that will save me a lot of energy for sure
MePLay with the ideas and Show me the Video
