Hi everyone, I'm a grad student at Cal looking for a 4.0-4.5 player to hit with for practice/drills/matches. I work on campus and I'm free weekdays after 6 PM. Anytime on weekends is good as well. Let me know if you want to hit!

Hi James,
I was a grad student at Cal and now am teaching there. I'm in the same boat NTRP-wise. Starting next week, I'll be teaching 4-6pm (on campus, actually not too far from the Hearst courts on Bancroft), so would be free to hit after that.
thanks,
Marc
Permalink Reply by Jonathan T on July 13, 2012 at 6:26pm Hi, fellow Cal grad student here. I'm getting back into tennis after a long time away. Played all through childhood, high school and some in college (intramurally, not NCAA). I'm guessing I'm ~4.0 but not really sure. I'm on or around campus most days so drop me a line if you'd like to meet up! Cheers,
Jonathan

Probably not what you're looking for, but I'm a postgrad Cal neuroscience researcher and I'm looking for someone to hit around with in the afternoons. For fun. Because I am terrible at tennis but want to improve. Drills and practice sound great.
If you have any desire to get your teacher-vibe on, hit me up. If not, I totally understand.

I'm also a grad student at Cal, probably around 4-4.5. I haven't played in a while, but played many years in high school and college. These days my schedule is pretty flexible, weekdays after 6 or weekends would definitely work.
cheers

I think I am probably in the 3.5-4.0 range but if that is fine with you, we can definitely hit sometime. Feel free to email me at sc_sb04@yahoo.com as well.
Cheers,
Say
Permalink Reply by Laura Denning on September 27, 2012 at 12:50pm Hey there! I know this post of yours is nearing ancient, but yours is the first one to grab my attention. I live in Albany, but am going through Berkeley all the time. I like playing competitive matches for fun; I don't enjoy it unless my opponent's skill is equal to mine. My favorite games are fought to the bitter end.
Let me know if you're interested, or still in town for that matter.

Im usually play in Berkeley, but courts are hard to find on the weekends. Wanting to know if youre wanting to hit tomorrow. Oh, and this is an invitation for anyone too!
