ok Rolling standing is: Rolling over or Under.... Similar to poker.

the Time table is set from 8-1-11 to 7-31-12 Which mean every tournament played between these parameters will be used in selecting players to the draw.

the Tournament i won last year with my broken arm against 3.5 players in the mens open counted and got me into the championships.( And Seeded )

Also the loss to Warren Robinson who also entered this tournament: taped below

Warren did not have enough points combined or high enough ranking between the time of 8-1-11 through 7-31-12 to qualify to get in and was cut from the draw. I think that Warren would have done well and would be a good pick for this tournament, but again Rolling Standings between the time allotted he didnt do well enough.

i think the loss cost him the entry, since Warren and i are 1/1. and i have a winning record with 2 tournament finals & 1 semi final loss to Warren.

Men's Open Singles (Draw Line - 10)

To be honest I am surprised to find this article on the web.  I was just studying and curious to see what would pop up with my name added with tennis at the end of it and I found this article.  Thanks and wow!! umm if you check my rankings it would show that at the end of they year I was seeded 8 in open singles and seeded 3 in open doubles.  That would mean I have enough points to have participated.  I was never cut! i didn't play because of health reasons.

To comment on myself I have played college tennis in 2010 where I played slots 6 through 3.  Was regionally ranked in singles and doubles.  In 2011 I deployed over seas to serve my country.  2012 was the first time in a year and half that I have played tennis. I picked up a racquet in january of 2012 and started from there.

open singles I have 3 semifinal appearances if you want to count that because the draw was small and a final appearance.

In open doubles I have won 2 tournaments and a final appearance in 4.5 doubles.

Your a good player and I have respect for tennis players and for you, but I don't agree with the stuff you wrote about me.  I ask you stop making assumptions about me like you know me. Thanks

Thanks Warren For the info of you being injured. I wish you were at this tournament. it would have been fun playing you again.

This "rolling standing" has been going on in Northern California for a long time. It is a great system if everyone plays every tournament. They do on the ATP circuit but not here in Northern California.

This system favors those who play a lot of tournaments. Every year I think you take your best 6? for a running point total. 1000 for winning 750 for finals 500pts for a semi showing etc. There can be more points for Tournament of the Year's at different NTRP levels. Also, we get 1.5x the points if prize money is over $1500 in the opens and double for the stead etc.

Frequently, in the Opens Ranking list the best players have 2002 points or 1001 points. The reason for that is that they win one or two tournaments a year worth $5,000 each and play ATP futures / challengers the rest of the time
