This a sad for Pete. He is a great champion and I hope he gets his Tennis Memories back from who ever stole them. Pretty classless act by whoever did this.

Well they aren't sure if he was targeted or it was random and his trophies just happen to be among those things...regardless tho...

All but his grand slam trophies were being stored in boxes at a mini-storage complex???
"The items were stolen from a public storage facility in West Los Angeles. Sampras had rented two units and stored furniture and the boxes of memorabilia. All, except for some large furniture, was taken.
"We've had some housing issues," Sampras said, "and we stored things while we were sorting that out."

This is so unfortunate. A sad day in tennis. I hope whoever is responsible for the theft of all those trophies can return them undamaged. Maybe he can offer an award for them, and then have the jerks arrested and get his money back! Set up a sting operation or something.

The police found two scrapbooks and a trophy at Griffith's Park, where I play. I wonder exactly where in the park they found it.

Right. Sounds like a problem only a true champion would have - so many trophies that you just chuck 'em in boxes and store them at the local mini-storage! LOL! But these weren't childhood versions: plastic soccer, BMX and tennis trophies!

Remember what happened to Bobby Fischer at a public storage in Pasadena. All his memorabilia were sold off because he was late on rent while abroad in other countries. He was mad!
