Well, can he? Can who do what? You might be asking that right now. So I reverse the question to you and ask, "Who can do what?"

So..I am wondering how many people got a chance to see the 2011 Wimbledon finals in 3D at the movie theaters?

It was only showing in select locations, I think they were just testing out the 3D experience with fan goers.

I went to the movie theater early morning, the tickets were kinda expensive. $18 per person, but again you're watching Wimbledon in 3D for four hours! That's definitely longer than a normal movie shown…

I went to the movie theater early morning, the tickets were kinda expensive. $18 per person, but again you're watching Wimbledon in 3D for four hours! That's definitely longer than a normal movie shown in 3D. It's weird because you're watching it in the dark. Nobody really talks in it, it's like you're watching a movie. Only cheers when good points were played, some people were talking and discussing what they thought of the matches. You get to eat popcorn in a nice comfy seat.

PROS: Tennis in 3D!, watching tennis on a huge movie theater screen, awesome clips of the players, personalized commentary for 3D movie goers,

CONS: Not able to watch Wimbledon at a sports bar and eating real food, drinking adult beverages, not being able to talk amongst your friends.

Did you get to watch it in 3D? Would you want to? Or..where were you when you watched the 2011 Wimbledon finals? Did you do anything special, have a party? Let me hear you...

Wimbeldon has a whole new twist to it this year...no RAFA!

This has opened the door for a lot of players to get the chance to LOSE to Roger Federer because he's back guys and he's takin it all the way.

Now im always going to support everyones favorite hometown american A-Rod but it's pointless.

Roger has the chipping backhand slice to take off that crazy kick that Roddick can generate on that serve of his, and his smooth movement on court is so great to watch.

He's the silent killer and that's a weapon that none of the other players in this tournament have except maybe one...Andy Murray.

This is a guy that can really compete and it's showed even at his young age when he was a mental case.

Rafa has the winning record over Federer for a reason and the answer is VARIETY!

The new reverse forehand that has recently been introduced to the modern game, the speed, the amounts of spin and conditioning, the intelligence, consistency and the composure that builds a champion...Andy Murray may have it.
What do you guys think? WimbleTon or WimbleDon?tag:tennisopolis.com,2008-12-13:1869403:Topic:2323332008-12-13T16:27:34.313ZMark / The Mayorhttp://tennisopolis.com/profile/archibot
OK, what's up with this? This is a spin-off thread from the Tennis Pet Peeves thread. It irks me so much that I thought it deserved its own special spot in the sun. Clearly, the town and tournament is called Wimbledon but I have noticed that a lot of americans say Wimbleton - normally it is folks that are not really tennis fans and probably only say the word a few times a year.
I'm not sure, but I think people say it because it "sounds more british". There are more words that end with ton - like huffington, worthington, singleton, simpleton... Just remember this helpful rhyme: A simpleton says Wimbleton. :-)
